I bought this game at launch and last week took my 360 PES back as I knew it wouldn't get played no more. Took me a couple of days to get used to attacking but took me a week for defending and even now i'm still learning on this front.
Played the league as Newcastle on skill level 3 (my team) and won the league first time and was unimpressed with the difficulty but then played champions road and as you play with weaker team I'm finding stage 2 european cup somewhat a challenge and I love it.
Totally agree with online - i've only played 1 game online and drew but my opponent was using nunchuck to move mostly and passing without moving players first so I had no clue where he was going next and this is maybe how you need to play online.
All in All - I agree with your opinion, a fantastic debut that nailed the gameplay but needs to build on bells and whistles for next release, where's the kit editing options and ML Konami?
