Why did PS3 owners accept lazy ports?

I didn't.  The thread is about why people accepted lazy ports on PS3, your response was that they had a choice to get a 360, but stayed with the PS3 based on brand loyalty.  However, if you look at gen7, at least in the US, the 360 was dominant.  So, with gen8, the brand loyalty thing you suggested would indicate that the XB1 would have more purchasers due to brand loyalty.  I was pointing out that the case was reversed, and people weren't being brand loyal but going where the better experience (perceived or actual, whatever floats you) is on PS4.

Well in the rest of the world the PS3 was the dominant console. Say what you will about the US gamers, but they are usually the smarter buyers.
