1) The PSP made heaps of cash for Sony, and the PS3 broke even at the very least (Though it certainly didn't do as well any other one of their gens).

2) Playstation doing well can not "Save" Sony alone.  The reason they will survive is because Kaz is removing any part of the company that is not profitable.  Their TV business and neadlessly bloated product lines are what has caused them FAR FAR more trouble than any effects (Good or Bad) Playstation has on the company.

3) The X1 is no longer in the rearview mirror.  It is sever States behind the PS4 at this point.  Consider that if you remove the hardcore 2013 sales the PS4 has outsold the X1 3:1 this year, and it is accelerating.


Fat chance it broke even.
