How can Nintendo drastically drop the cost of the WiiU?

The problem with the Wii U is that you can't realistically drop the price past a certain point when the GamePad is there to prop it up.

Add to that the fact that making the GamePad even smaller may actually rack up more costs than what it's worth for Nintendo.

I say keep it as is, and just bundle games.
