Awesome stats by Peyton, and I think hes definitely the best long-term QB of all time, hands-down.

I do think that his situation is helped a bit by the outstanding team he's had in Denver for the post-recovery era, whereas Favre didn't have that level of talent around him for many years (ever?).

PM > Favre
PM's surrounding talent > Favre's surrounding talent (arguable during PM's Colts timeframe)

Not really a dig at PM at all, he's an absolute legend, it's awesome that he's not stuck at some horrible place with ZERO talent around him. LOL imagine if he was QB1 for the Bucs or something like that. That would suck.

I know Favre has a lot of fans but, when it comes to complete quarterback play, I've always considered him to be overrated.  Not his ability--when he was locked on he was unstoppable--but rather his decision making skills.  The guy was a risk to throw an interception and give away a game at any moment and I can't begin to count how many "rocket" incompletions he threw to guys that were 5 yards away when a touch-pass would have resulted in a touchdown.

People talk about Peyton Manning's touchdown total but I think when we consider that Manning has more than 100 less interceptions than Favre, that's really where we see that he is a much better QB.
