Found this article on PS4 sales in my country, it seems like sales are generally 40 - 50% higher on PS4 than it was on PS3.
Some numbers mentioned in the article:
PS4 current install base = over 40k
PS3 current install base = over 300k
PS4 sales are expected to be 70 - 100k over the next year.
This info comes from the CEO of Ster Kinekor who are the local distributors of a lot of gaming content in South Africa. I'm not entirely sure if they are the only distributors so what % of the market this represents im not sure. Will try and find out though.

There is also a video in the article. It doesn't seem like Ster Kinekor are the distributors/suppliers of MS or Ninty consoles. I do know though that they do distribute their software.
