You can try this if you want to support VGC - on the main page click "Disable on this page only" in Adblock. This way some ads will get through, and forum pages will remain ad-free.
Use Adblock as a currency to reward the sites you like, but if ads break your experience, there's not much you can do but to keep them blacklisted.
