Even though USA is shooter haven, its still the largest market for God Of War which has historically always caused a huge spike in hardware sales for PlayStation consoles and handhelds. Also, Uncharted is a shooter, and Gran Turismo also usually spikes up the sales of PlayStation consoles.

Most importantly, third-parties have the most variety of shooters so better third-party multiplats are going to be very helpful.
