Price, it was the first one to reach my breaking point 250 U$ without a game or 300 U$ with a game that I want
Games, I really like Nintendo exclusive games as they offer good gameplay and it has enough now to interest me
Free Online, I really don't want to pay for online as it is something that I don't do very often anyway
Backward compatibility, I still have a few Wii games that I want to play and the control compatibility reduced the price to play with my friends

I was not really interested in Wii U very much, except curious of the gamepad. The spring after it has launched it became quite cheap so I bought a basic one for $230 including 25% VAT, which is VERY, VERY cheap for my country: Sweden. As most games fell in price very fast I bought a lot for about $20 - $30. Then I bought one for my son who was going to make a quiz game for eShop, also VERY cheap. Then I bought a Premium because I needed one for the family room and one for my "gaming" room. This was also cheap: $280.

The reason I was not that interested from the beginning was that my favourite games are not yet released: Animal Crossing, LoZ, Trauma Center, Endless Ocean, Pilotwings, Fire Emblem, 3D Mario, Paper Mario and others. Hopefully the best times for my Wii U:s are still to come.

The Quiz game? Well he got  a job and has not got the time anymore, he claims. It was about 50% ready.

I would consider Playstation or Xbox if they were cheap enough and had games that I want.
