*shrug* you said in 7th gen, and the DS is indeed a 7th gen console.
I was just looking at the platform numbers recently and I was blown away by how high the DS was in the US. It beat the Wii by over 15 million. Especially weird considering it had so little real support from Western third parties -- why wouldn't they want to make software for by far the best-selling hardware at the time?
I don't see how it's off-topic at all. DS is a 7th gen console. Don't think I'm trying to downplay the 360, it certainly will pass the Wii and be the best-selling home console of the generation in the US, it lasted much longer, yada yada. Can I share my own observation about the DS's astronomical success? I'm not trying to start a console war here.
