Maybe, though it seems VGC has a probelm when it comes to adjusting PS4 numbers. The good thing is the X1 was slightly undertracked too so if they fix it they'll have no excuse not to fix PS4 as well

Not sure that's true, honestly.  There was a reason that IoI couldn't update the PS4's numbers when Sony specifically outright unequivically stated 10m sold to consumers, in their homes etc.., and it came down to where to put those numbers.  The length of time it actually took for those updates to take place, tells me it took a bit of time for either him to figure out where they go, or Sony to provide itemized sales by region so that he could apply them appropriately.  Whereas, maybe Microsoft's numbers are more detailed...not really sure. (Trying to be fair to both sides here)

What I find intriguing is the resistance to putting up an Uknown but verified, category.  Eventually IoI does get the information he requires to be able to apply them to the appropriate regions, and as far as I'm aware, no company would actually risk the resulting legal/internet backlash of claiming X numbers sold to consumers (and lying about it)....so I just find it strange that we don't have a category with official numbers, and then as time passes and the itemization of where those numbers are specifically coming from, slowly reduce the Unknown figure.

I don't see how that's worse, or somehow a detriment to what's already in place, where you can go quite some time before seeing what has been officially announced by a company, while the front page reflects what's known throughout the media to be an incorrect figure.  Not that I'm trying to be a dick to IoI or anything, I genuinely don't understand why that is?  Is the admission of not knowing where the units should be allocated somehow damning to a site that everyone knows provides estimates and then updates with official releases?
