However, and it seems to have really been ignored by pretty much everyone here, Vita's have had a memory card included with them for most of their lifespan (ranging from 4gb to 16gb depending on the set). They have also been doing extremely good value game + memory card bundles. 10 games (inc ones like WipeOut, Little Big Planet etc) and 16gb card for £40. So anyone who says they were going to get a Vita, but the memory card killed it is just talking out of their ass. A Vita and memory card and 10 games, + an additional 32gb memory card purchased on top has been cheaper than a Solus 3DS XL in the UK for the past year and a half. It's actually pretty ironic that after overhyping and underdelivering on the PSP, Sony actually released a handheld that lived up to it's promises and it utterly bombed. |
it isnt a big deal which is true.
Vita sales are mostly due to not having the big games like the psp had. It doesn't help how Sony portrayed the hardware either, and keeping it in thedark during conferences (excluding Japan ones) was a mistake.
Not trying to downplay vita, but sony is extremely lucky to have third party support in japan (has more than 3ds as by looking at this year releases in comparison). If Sony was in Nintendo shoes they would be f***ed with the vita.
Thank goodness for support from third party devs :0
I had a prediction that Sony was going to try hard with the vita tv at least in the West. It came out yesterday here in the US!
