Vita only cost $250 at launch too. I don't know how Nintendo managed to bleed so much money on a PSP with a 3D display. 3DS XL should have introduced the second analogue stick. I honestly expected it to until it was unveiled. And btw, XL is STILL about $300 in the UK and you don't even get a wall charger. I really wish they'd have just stuck the 3DS out for another year or two and just done a proper next generation handheld with a bit more oomph than a Vita in 2016 that can run Wii U standard software. 3DS may have tidily won on sales, but it's offered woeful value for money bordering on Apple standards. |
Vita has memory cards, that ups vita price right there. (also by that logic they should of been included like the 3ds with an extra analog right?)
Apple Standards? Not even close, everybody was predicting a new HH in 2015/2016. With the New 3DS, 3DS Software can continue being supported for at least another 2 years, having a new gen starting early isnt > N3ds (upgrade if you will). I do understand the arguments for N3ds, dont get me wrong, but its not as bad as many are making it out to be.
