Wait, you're comparing when the PS3 had ~3 ~2 years on the market to when the PS4 just had 1?  Why don't you wait til '16 before we actually compare the numbers.

shrinking market will always be the excuse to explain bad X1 sales in Europe i guess, the market is shrinking but yet, the PS4 is doing just like the PS3.

Sad, but true.  Even if there are a few markets shrinking, it's mostly due to bloated sales last gen because of the casuals Wii brought in and the late start for the PS3 (many switched to 360 and then either switched back or got both.)  There's also the fact that while some may seem smaller, there are other regions that were once much smaller that are making up for the difference.
