Not anecdotal because I don't care enough about console wars to make it up, but just in my modest social circle and a little beyond it, a lot of people seem to be going for the PlayStation as opposed to the Xbox this generation. Microsoft lost a lot of good-will when they decided to include Kinect with every console, not to mention the fact that the last few years of the Xbox 360's life were awful in terms of game releases.
As a generalisation we Brits are fairly savvy shoppers so it just doesn't make sense to spend the same or more money for less, exclusive titles be damned. I think if the Xbox were cheaper than the PlayStation 4 - or comparably powerful - then your prediction may come true, but as it stands I'm not entirely certain that it will. All I can say is that me and a lot of others I know used to play exclusively on Xbox 360, but now we play exclusively on PlayStation 4. We'll just have to wait and see though.
