If it came out on PS4 or Wii U, sure.

Good thing the ip is owned by Microsoft then

Tis not a good thing.  Lost Odyssey is presumably dead right now because it's on a system owned by a company that JRPG gamers the world over tend to not prefer.  And it's critical to the success of JRPG's that MS bug off.  I also say that because unless for instance Lost Odyssey and games like Lost Odyssey make some big ass miracle happen and start a revolution of JRPGs on the X1, it's going to be cannabilzing the genre unless MS relinquishes its hold over Lost Odyssey as well as its aim to put more JRPGs or Japanese games on the system exclusively.

That's not to say there weren't a few JRPGs that didn't do well with the 360 in some way (like Lost Odyssey and FFXIII in NA), but the 360 had an advantage last gen with NA.  A lot of those casual JRPG fans probably didn't like how the PS3 started out and went over to the 360.  Eventually though it became obvious that even with a larger userbase in NA, the 360 did worse with JRPGs than the PS3.  And FFXIII to FFXIII-2 had a bigger drop in sales ratio wise on the 360 than it did on the PS3.

Now though, I'm guessing it's going to be much worse for MS's JRPG sales.  And if MS continues buying Japanese exclusivity and JRPGs especially, they're just going to continue to hurt the genre and Japanese games in general.  The Japanese developers they buy exclusive games from will just get used up and spit out, like Mistwalker did.

JRPGs won't sell at all on a MS system in Japan.  And they don't do all that well on MS systems in Europe either.

I'm betting they're going to do much worse in NA for MS this time, regardless of marketing.
