The idea of farming out those games to other studios is a good one. Perhaps in the future Rare will be redeployed to technology design, working on prototype engines and assisting in software development on specific projects, but leaving the bulk of game design to other studios. |
I never said Rare should make the game. I said Microsoft should pay a talented company to make the IP's since they own them. Rare is a corpse of what it used to be.
I remember when people were asking Phil Spencer to make certain games he said he would check and see if some developers were up for it, which means Microsoft actively seeks out third party to make new games for them or with Killer Instinct rebooting. It's not so far out of the ball park of reality. People never thought the day come would come to Killer Instinct either, but it did.
