Not really, no. I only noticed that the franchise had a high level of quality from the start. At first I didn't expect high scores, but I should have known better. You, on the other hand, sound defensive.. |
Actually, I called you out because, in the series of posts before that, you spent time arguing that the GameSpot reviewer reviewed it too highly, because they called the story "weak"... and when others pointed out that it didn't do that, you doubled down, rather than admitting that you'd misunderstood what the reviewer was saying, and then when it became completely indefensible, you pivoted to a different argument for why the high scores aren't important.
Personally, I don't care about the review scores. The important thing I've gotten from checking a few of the more negative reviews was that it's a game that takes a bit of time getting used to, but that has a pretty good gradient in terms of difficulty... so the fact that I was frustrated by the demo a bit is something that shouldn't bother me too much (the frustration was about how I was playing, the rest of the game was top-notch... also, I've gotten really used to Hyrule Warriors, and this game is similar but simultaneously very different in controls and fighting style).
