That leads into how we work on the PS4. The PS4 isn’t as off-balance as the PS3 was. If you look at the market right now, Gran Turismo is one of the only games on the PS3 that does 1080p at 60 frames per second. It was really difficult to achieve that. On the PS4, the lowest common denominator is going to be boosted. Most games will be able to do 1080p at 60 frames per second. That’s the real good part about the PS4."

The ability curve of developers is extreme but this confirms that GT7 is definitly at least 1080p and 60FPS.  I say at least because if he was able to get 1080p/60FPS on the PS3, what will he be able to acheive on the PS4.  If GT7 hits 120FPS... expect meltdowns.

GT6 was 1080p, it wasn't Full HD though, just 1440x1080p, and framerate wasn't locked on 60fps, it was dropping some frames.

Let PD focus on delivering a stellar 1080p60, nobody would really benefit from 120fps as 99,9% of the target audience uses TV's or monitors with 60Hz refresh rate. They probably could go beyond 1080p and use it as supersampling, but a good AA solution should do the job just fine and cost much less.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!
