Yeah, that certain someone (boss of 4 - endgame (4)) arranged a lot of that's happened in both games, but it's mentioned in like 5 minutes. It's not even totally clear why he changed from being friendly to evil. Absolutely a missed opportunity.

Actually it is clear. You have to beat the game more than once and use him in certain battles and you will get certain flashback scenes that explain why he did what he did. You can even get him you join your group. Thats the only reason I'm going to do an eventual third play through is to pick him up.

You know, there is a reason that Benga and I haven't said that actual character's name.
