The balance board isn't a controller. It's an accessory. And why shouldn't all games. Bare minimum should always be pro and gamepad. |
Why shouldn't all games? Because not everything is neccesary for a well designed game. Art Style: Orbient is one of the best games on WiiWare, and it only used two buttons. No analog stick, no motion control, no IR pointer. Just the A button and the B button.
The Wii had tons of control options. Play it like an NES controller, Remote + Nunchuck, classic controller, Balance board, nearly all motion like when using the Wheel, nearly all IR pointer like when using the Zapper. Not all games gave you all options, nor should they.
If the Pro is an acceptable sustitute for the Gamepad in the next Zelda, then the Gamepad will have been under-utilized.
