I disagree. I dont think Nintendo needs to create lots of new IP's. They should create some and they should foster their existing ones.
Sony makes new IP's all the time. Most often than not they are flops. At the same time they didnt foster their existing IP's as they should. Jak, crash, wipeout, rollcage, colony wars, etc. for example were thrown into obscurity.
