Sony still has created many more new IPs since 2006 than Nintendo. And they have created a lot more in the PS2 era as well, more than Nintendo created in the same time frame. Not only the marketing, but the marketing, appeal and VOLUME of the new IP's they created generally exceeded that of what Nintendo created.

I agree with you before but not now. Sony has done an excellent work to have new and great IPs. no doubt about that. ButNintendo has create more IPs than any company. And I mean Nintendo as first party. Sony has gained many ip's but not all from their own creation. It doesn't matter to appreciate the quality of a game for sure, but if we talk abou that we must talk with property

Nintendo has created more IP's, if we take into consideration all the new IP's they created since they came into gaming, which was much earlier than Sony. If we count new IP's created by both Nintendo and Sony in this century, Sony has created more IMO.

Sony hasn't create more. Spny has had more studios developing for them. I just say as a developer Nintedo has create more own IP than sony. Not counting extarnal developments or second parties.. Is not something to take care to enjoy the games, is just a point & a repeat you I love the work Sony has done to bring new IP's, many of them are great

Sony has published more IP's than Nintendo, that is what matters here. But yeah, they both have great IP's, but I would like Nintendo to make more new IP's which interest me, as their current lineup which might be great doesn't appeal to me.
