You get more new I.P. from Nintendo without realizing than you probably do from the other two console makers. Just think about it. Most of the industry is sequel-driven, because that's what gamers demand. New IPs have never been more risky than they are today. The fact that there are *any* at all anymore is actually quite amazing to me.

That is just plain wrong. You listed 8 new IP's from Nintendo. Lets make a list of new IP's from Sony since 2006:

That is 21 new IP's from Sony in the same time frame in which Nintendo only made 8 new IP's. I'm sure MS have made many as well.

Nintendo has a lot more than 8. Have to add some more..

But I have to agree with  you. That Nintendo has create some new IPs is a fact. But Sony has done a better work not only creatin many new IPs too but making them big and creatin hype around them. Last PS3's year was terrific in that way
