It seems you may agree with me about the population thing. They need to add significant content to maintain or even have the population grow. If they keep adding content that feels the same or cost money, the population will dwindle.

You missed the biggest thing in the game that is the Raid.

And I don't agree the population will become huge this holidays... one Raid each 3 months is what is planned already.

Oh, you presume everyone wants to play raids. I feel you're out of touch what the average player wants from Destiny.

Raids are more of the same, add little value. Will do little to help the population grow.
