That is essentially what I was trying to prove. The general gamer will buy the PS4/XB1/WiiU because it is a plug and play device. They don't care about the resolutions as much as the "hardcore" gamer, and certainly not as much as the PC gamer. The general gamer is also the target market. That is all.
And I agree with your last question/statement as well. You can certainly build a better PC than the PS4 for the same money if you shop around and are willing to do some of the heavy lifting yourself. General gamers aren't willing to do that though.
