You don't need to be dedicated to experience 4k gaming. As you know, PCs have been capable of 4k resolutions for a very long time. Also, 4k televisions are getting very cheap. http://www.amazon.com/Seiki-SE50UY04-50-Inch-Ultra-120Hz/dp/B00BXF7I9M I dunno what you've heard, but the PC is a lot farther ahead of consoles than you may think. |
You think I have been arguing consoles being ahead of PCs? Wow. Don't know how you got there. Oh well. I will address your points though, because why not.
Cheaper 4k TVs doesn't make them mainstream and doesn't make the output of TV channels 4k overnight. It is still the general consensus that 4k won't be mainstream (read: common or widely adopted) until 2018 or 2019.
Yes the PC is a lot farther ahead, congratulations captain obvious. However, the PC isn't as accessible (which btw is what I have been arguing for those actually following along) to the casual/commonplace gamer. Which is why consoles are the driving force behind gaming.
