VGCs standard margin of error could still swing it either way, so it's a tad too soon to declare it a definite win or lose for either side. Wait for the post-NPD adjustments.
Anyway, i'd say the X1's only chance of beating the PS4 this year (assuming it didn't this week) will be black friday. If it can achieve a more significant boost than the PS4, which could be possible if MS market the shit out of it with lots of cheap promotions, the X1's US sales could counter the PS4's standard EU advantage.
