Exactly. These products are tailored to an audience that does not want to buy Nintendo systems. As a result, the design and quality of those products doesn't fall in line with what the average Nintendo consumer considers worth buying. Hence the low sales of ports.

Don't tell me you have yet to notice that there is a stark difference between the values a Nintendo gamer holds and the ones that Sony/Microsoft gamers hold.

It's more like... on this website, and with the people I know personally, there's not much difference. There are some exceptions, there are some Sony/Xbox gamers with dramatically different priorities than most Nintendo gamers, but generally in a dedicated little community like this it just comes down to your preference.

In the grand scheme of things, what I see is that teenagers and college-aged gamers play games the media hypes up the most. It's similar to the box office, where the latest Transformers movie can have a rating under 20% on Rotten Tomatoes yet gross over a billion dollars globally. Nintendo gamers aren't so different though, they just watch different commercials. I think there are informed gamers on every console who try not to let the hundreds of millions of dollars pumped into game marketing every year impact their purchases.
