That is what you and a few other XB1 fans are missing. We dont care THAT much about 1080p, we prefer it but its the principle behind the whole thing. And its not "petty". They did the same thing for Watchdogs (although they did not state it was for parity, they said it was because they could not get the performance they wanted at 1080p) and it did fine, but the big difference was WD was a late may release and people really had no other options.

Again, you said the X1 version will probably sell about the same as the PS4 version. That shows you're out of touch with the average consumer. Parity doesn't matter that much, especially if the product is still impressive.

Destiny is the best selling PS4 game and it was likely designed to have parity with the X1 version.

you claimed that the XB1 would still outsell the PS4 (in the US) despite all the issues. I think you under estimate what a general "bad taste" about something can do to sales. The failed unveiling of the XB1 left a bad taste in many peoples mouths and it is still trying to overcome that.

Even though Xbox1 has the marketing for AC Unity and the for 1st time in awhile the PS console doesn't have exclusive DLCs for AC games, I still would predict that AC Unity will sell more on PS4 compared to Xbox1 in the US and worldwide (? globally in the US) despite all the parity hate.  I would go far to predict that AC Call of Duty Advance Warfare will sell more on the PS4 in the US and definitely sell more worldwide.  

I agree completely on CoD especially with HALO MCC in the same release window. I backed off the XB1 version of Unity selling more I think the userbase will be too much to overcome and the game is set in Europe where Sony has a huge advantage. I will go with it will sell less than AC4: BF.
