I'am not arguing the fact that in the past that Nintendo has shitted on their partners. I've admitted that in my first comment

I am addressing your statement that Iwata was making an "excuse" in that last paragraph. I suggest you read my reply again

I don't understand what you're saying.  You can't disregard the past.  Iwata didn't get appointed yesterday and these are not new-found ideals.  Saying that Nintendo doesn't "follow or imitate", that such a philosophy "speaks to his heart", those are just excuses.  They chose a path which did not work out as planned.  They wanted gaming to revolve around Nintendo but the industry had other ideas.  He's just trying to paint their failures as virtues.

All he is saying the last paragraph that they are going for a different strategy to build their relationship. Of course thay have made god awful mistakes in the past, thats why they are moving forward with this new approach. It's not an excuse when this approach has produced fruits already.

@Bod Accusing Nintendo (Iwata) of following the principles of their former head as "excuses" is simpy reaching for something that's not there
