I don't understand what you're saying.  You can't disregard the past.  Iwata didn't get appointed yesterday and these are not new-found ideals.  Saying that Nintendo doesn't "follow or imitate", that such a philosophy "speaks to his heart", those are just excuses.  They chose a path which did not work out as planned.  They wanted gaming to revolve around Nintendo but the industry had other ideas.  He's just trying to paint their failures as virtues.

they say crap like that because its better than saying we cant see the other two on their own terms. They couldnt with N64, not with GC  they had to do something totally different with Wii and they cant with WIi U. Maybe cant is a strong word, maybe they are unwilling or scared.
