How is it?
Multiplats have an estabished fanbase on other patfforms. So it woud be stupid for Nintendo to participate in the "price-war" and "money giving" with microsoft and sony, because the reaiity is that these titles will not sell well on Nintendo systems nor will they move consoles. This is the pathetic reality that Nintendo find themselves after shitting on the heads of their partners in the 90's and chasing the gold last gen.
So it would be smarter to look for other ways to strengthen relationship with 3rd publishers right? Going for something unique that creates a win-win situation for both Nintendo and the partner would be ideal right? Something like collaborative titles. We have already seen the fruits of this "unique approach" that Iwata talks about in Hyrule Warriors, and soon to be Pokken Fighters and Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem.
Sure you could argue that their have been only a handful of collab tites, and the lack of western coorporation. But considering that this is a recent trend with Nintendo, it is understandable.
