I can't play most 2D fighters with the regular GC controller because the D-Pad is too small.
Though I do use the GC Pelican Retro Pad which is a rip off of the GC Hori Digital Pad.
The Pelican Pad has a circular shield type D-Pad instead of the true cross D-Pad that the Hori has.
But it's still a big and responsive D-Pad that works good if you're used to playing SFII on the SNES.
