Bottom line. it was the $499 price tag that has kept X1 sales kinda low. Being $399 isn't gonna win Playstation fans either.

MS should have taken a hit and sold the X1 for $299 or even $349 without Kinect at launch. They would be struggling less and spending less on damage control.


MS sell it for 200$ less than they did and 100$ less than they are now? I'm pretty sure they want to win shareholders over with the xbox brand not give them the final straw that makes them say, yep get rid of it. 

I also think it's unfair to just say the 360 with a cheaper price and early release is the only reason the 360 did well. In that case the Wii U should be doing much better. The fact is the 360 was a very good machine and people liked it. If it wasn't very good it could never do well. No matter how much SOny messed up.
