Sony chased people away from PS3 and is doing a pretty good job recovering with PS4. Kudos, but they still made Xbox serious competitor.

No MS made the Xbox a serious competitor and I reckon nobody thought as many 360 gamers would convert to the PS4. I certinly didn't.

Xbox merely capitalized where Sony dropped the ball with PS3. PS3 had huge momentum following the PS2 but Sony fucked up.
Actually, I expected the X1 to do even worse than it has. Xbox One needed to be cheaper than PS4 to really compete, not more expensive or even equal. This time MS fucked up.
Nintendo, Sony, and MS all dropped the ball on their 3rd console.
