Bomb scare at Gearbox HQ; "someone is out of control" says CEO Randy Pitchford
CEO of Gearbox Software, Randy Pitchford, revealed on Twitter that Gearbox HQ was the victim of a bomb scare yesterday. Plano Police Department sent out a response of police officers and bomb removal squad to deal with the possible threat, including a nifty robot. Thankfully, no evidence of a bomb was found, and staff could quickly return to the HQ safely.
Claptrap would be proud.

A leaked post to developers from Valve has revealed the start date of this year’s Halloween Sale. The sale is scheduled on Halloween weekend, between October 30th and November 3rd, naturally. Any games that “fit into the general Halloween theme” can participate, including those with the appropriate themed tags.

You’ve gone and done it now. Developers of FPS-MMO, Firefall, are out for blood tomorrow as they try and get their own back, after last weeks defeat at the hands of the players. The “Chosen Offensive” event is simple really: players vs the almighty developers as they attack the most popular outposts in all Accord-owned territories.
Tomorrow is the final event, and the developers will be out in full force in the form of powerful Chosen bosses. Slay them and you'll be rewarded for your war efforts.
