Well... its not like the wiiU's successor will launch in 2015... Or even in 2016... Most likely, it will launch in 2017 or in my case 2018 so I am sure they can lower the cost within that time enough to make it pleasable. And I am sure if Nintendo tried hard enough (which they wont) they can cut a deal with nvidia and also sell the console at a slight loss in order to pack that in
