Well, let's see.

The name will include Nintendo (the Wii brand is dead, but not the Nintendo one), and the number of which console it is, so 1-NES; 2-SNES; 3-N64; 4-GameCube; 5-Wii; 6-WiiU. It will be Nintendo 7/Seven.

The controller will be an improved GamePad with a capacitive 720p screen and longer range and battery-life, it will be able to work with 2 of them at the same. In games that support it, up to 6 players will be able to play with the other 4 using another controller, something that won't be a problem because besides a new Pro model it will be compatible with all Wii and WiiU controllers (wiimote, GamePad, Pro controller, Wii Fit, etc). Both the new GamePad and Pro controllers will be available for $99/$49 respectively.

The console will also support Nintendo's next handheld as a controller, using it as a regular Gamepad.

Storage and discs. It will feature the same optical drive as WiiU, but instead of flash memory for its storage Nintendo will realise that digital distribution is here so they will go with a 500GB HDD (because it's almost impossible to find smaller ones). External HDDs will be supported via USB 3.0 (sadly, not the newer one).

Hardware wise, it will include the WiiU chip (CPU+GPU) for backwards compatibility, using an AMD APU as the main processor of the next console. Power wise it won't be much more powerful than a PS4/X1. With luck it will use 8GB of RAM, with 6-7 for games.

The console will feature a new OS designed to run on both the home console and the handheld. That will allow that Virtual Console games, as well as the eShop games developed to run under that OS, to work on either the handheld or the console. With a true unified account, it will allow users to buy a game for either the home console or the handheld, or buy a cross platform SKU for a bit more.

Launch games will include 2 main titles to attract the 2 different Nintendo audiences: a new Metroid to attract the hardcore Nintendo fans as well as to show what the console is capable of in terms of graphics, and a new Animal Crossing for the more mainstream users that will also serve to show other integrations between the home console and the handheld.

The console will launch Holiday 2017 at $299 with only 1 sku and making a profit from the start.
