I put the game away for a few months after beating it with Mario, then beat it with Luigi later. Some levels are harder with Luigi (notably the "on tracks" purple coin levels), while some are easier due to his slightly improved jumping. Overall, not much of a difference, but it does give you an excuse to play a brilliant game a second time.
