If you got a game from the MK8 promotion: they count like you bought them for the full price on the eShop.

What about the one I got for getting Platinum in Club Nintendo (NES Remix) or ones I redeemed for coins (Punch-Out)?

d21lewis said that the Platinum Club game worked. I don't have games from coins because they aren't available in Europe.
