I have this sneaking suspicion that this will go on to be the best seling FF game ever and in addition to that a lot of people criticising the game today wil come out to say how much they loved it.
I think these days something different has seeming become a bad thing. And the same old same old gets stereotyped.
I for one am happy that this is the first mainline FF game that you control only one character, doesn't make it any less of an RPG for me in the same way Mass effect wasn't less of an RPG (and this games give you more control and interaction with your party than ME) and I am definitely happy that you basically can't directly compare the combat system/control system of this game to any FF game before it. I mean there is a "JUMP" button in a FF game for crying out loud. I have played every single FF game before this one, and this is the first one that has really got me wondering how it will play and what we can do. Thats a really really really good thing in my book.
