I was 17 when the original came out and I was in my early 20's when the remake launched and my preference? Give me the original PS1 game any day of the week. The remake was good, but it had a completely different feel and vibe. The original game had a b-rated horror, low budget feeling to it that the remake lost due to the extra production. Also, because the original is on PS1, it's grainy, blurry, low end graphics made you use your imagination to fill in the dots and for me... that only made it better.

Plus, that whole thing where you went behind the mansion stairs? That shit is COMPLETELY out of place.
