I still think we're a few years off.  Big thing is next year could see a big bump in how much MLS sides are able to spend and the academies are really starting to bear fruit as well.

3 of the 4 teams are at the top of their groups, so you'll have nearly half of the next round. Liga MX is not a much better league than MLS (it's held up by a few strong depths and has no depth).
