LMFAO at this thread title. Nintendo's only true "failed attempt" of a console was the Virtual Boy. All their other ones have either been wildly successful or at the very least a success. I mean they just won last gen's home console race AND the DS is the biggest selling gaming system ever to top it all off. 3ds is no slouch either. As for Wii U's disappointing start, it isn't over by a long shot so I'm not judging it until we have more definitive sales for it. And even if it ends up as Nintendo's first failure of a home console after 30+ years in the industry, that's still no reason whatsoever for them to up and leave the hardware industry.
