I think there is a major difference between a Pokemon RPG with online elements (think a blend of Fable 2 and Pokemon for handhelds) and a Pokemon MMO. The latter is simply not feasible on the current WiiU online system, and if developed and unsuccessful could do enormous and potentially irreparable damage to Nintendo. A Pokemon RPG on WiiU could have a defined budget, limited scope with a single player or co-op focus, and be highly successful if done well.
Still, its a risk.
