1.) The commas throw me off (since I never use them in numbers, or math for that fact). I knew the billion in a day from Destiny since it was headline news at pretty much every gaming site. 2) End of story with Destiny because it was all based on hype. Duke Nukem Forever wouldn't have sold what it did without all that hype. Hype is a big factor. I never said reviews, you said sales are what make a game big and right there you contadicted yourself by saying "Could it be possible that reviews aren't all that matters?". Pretty much countering your sales argument and any other argument you could make. I said I gave my opinion on the matter, end of argument. You have nothing here, and you are trying to bring facts in to where someone made an opinion. It's obvious this place runs on facts, but there is opinions on this site. Sales are never an indicator of what is big. What the consumer values in a game and what they can continue to value for years to come is what will be big. |
Destiny has in under a month sold 5000000 copies (left the confusing comma's out for you). Duke nukem hasn't even sold 2 million, and its sales fell to nearly zero right after launch. THEY ARE NOT COMPARABLE IN ANY WAY.
"Sales are never an indicator of what is big." Yeah and Big Summer Blockbusters' didn't get their name from their large budgets and sales. Dude I can't tell if you are just tryin' to F with me at this point.
