@spem, luckily for you the New 3DS already (basically) took care of the first two. The right stick probably isn't what you were hoping for, but it's close enough.

The Vita and GamePad look great at sub-HD resolutions. That kind of resolution is fine with me.

3G is the devil and I don't want anything to do with it.

Cloud storage is fairly useless without 3G, but whatever, it can be a thing if they want.

I also don't really need it to be more powerful than the Vita. New 3DS can run Xenoblade, how much more power could I ask for? Just what kind of game is not possible on this hardware, and why is it so important to have it running on a little screen like that?

All of these sacrifices are for the sake of bringing the price as low as possible. I'm with you that it should be under $200. I'd even suggest launching with two models right out of the gate: a larger one with 3D in the $160-200 range, and a smaller one without 3D for as low as they can reasonably get the price. Shooting for under $140.
