| DOATS1 said: 360 will always have the upper hand with ram because it's unified, simple as. microsoft were very clever when designing the dashboard. if you look closely, the blades are not hi-res, unlike the xmb, where every corner is flawless. the xmb's attention to detail is what takes up so much ram, the dashboard isn't as detailed, which i think is what matters when taking into consideration that the os will be running in the background. having said that though, i prefer the xmb, because everything is so much easier to access, and it's so much faster than the dashboard. also you can completely customize the xmb to your taste, you can even make your own themes. the xmb just feels more like a system to me, the dashboard feels like a flash site to me. |
umm... the background of the XMB is a .tiff image.... thats not "highly detailed" at all.
