For comparison it took the Wii until the week ending Feb 23, 2008 to pass the Xbox 360 in software (1 year 3 months and a week after wii launch) while it passes it in hardware the Week ending August 18th 2007.(9 months) So 6 month and a week between when it passes hardware to software. oh both consoles were just shy of 100 million software when the pass took place.
The ps4 passed the Wii U in hardware the week the ps4 launched in Japan week ending Feb 22 2014(though Japanese numbers are always for the next day. So 100 days after launch. Or about 3 months and a week.
It passed software this week. So 10 months and not quite a week after launch. With 6 months 3 weeks between when hardware was passed to when software was passes. The systems over a million apart in software due to the huge sales from destiny but both in the 29 million range.
